I decided to try a Nuzlocke Challenge!

So I decided a couple of days ago to start playing Pokémon Black.

I wanted to do a Nuzlocke challenge.

I thought "Hey, this'll be no problem! I'm normally so careful when I battle anyways!"

Or so I thought.



At first I picked Pokabu, or whatever they call it in English.

This charming self-cooking bundle of bacon right here.

Cute, right?

It's my first time playing as a fire type main. Normally I'm a grass user through and through. Shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Should be easy in an area surrounded by grass, everything should go up in smoke.


So I start the game, and whoop both my friends arses because at this point everyone only knows tackle, a few bubbles would've killed me had Cheren and his Mijimaru been one level higher, but ya know, whatever.


I go out, start finding Pokémon, and since this is Nuzlocke I have ONE Poké per area. I decided one per route. I like to collect, y'know?

So one per route, no duplicates, your very first encounter (unless you accidentally kill it).

I run into a Lillipup. Easy first catch. Cute too.

Name: Lillim

Gender: Female

Lvl: 3

Traits: Skittish nature or something.

So I wanna train this little baby up, right?

Get this sweet thing to level 4, #SWAG amirightbros?

Health starts getting low, so it's off to PokéCenter.

Decide to train more, go back to route 1.

Only used Lillim, everything going well.

At half health, the lower level Lllipup can barely dent me.

Mistake 1: 

Underestimating my opponent.

Critical. Hit.

MOTHER FUCKING. CRITICAL! HIT!

Lillim DIES.

From a Level 2.

LEVEL TWOOOOOOOOOO!!

I'm pissed.

So angry.

The .GIFS reflect that. I hope.

SO Nobuta (Pokabu) murders that fuckwit.

FUCKING EMBERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Later at route 2 I run into a Patrat at level 4 or something like that.
It's tail swishes around to talk to other Patrat. How sweet~

It reminded me of House Tarly's words in Game of Thrones 'First to Battle'.

So PokéCenter time!
Don't want this one to die either!

Whilst I'm there I release Lillim into the wild. Because in Nuzlocke once it dies, it STAYS dead. ;^;

Back at route 2 it's time to grind.

Everything goes well, awesome training montages, you know the gist.
Run into a smarmy looking Purrloin.

Petra can take this glorified house cat!
Sure, her health is a little low, but if my health gets low Nobuta will step in!
It'll be fine!

Mistake 2:

Sending a low level to battle with low health.

One hit was all it took.

Petra fainted.

I was silent for a while.

Then I wanted to cry.

Then I got agitated.

That smug housecat had to die!

That bitch burned to death.

I was so consumed with rage I exited the game.

Felt frustrated for 10 minutes

Then mourned my losses.

Not sure if I'll continue my Nuzlocke challenge.

Two died out of my three Pokémon.

Too many feels.

Too many.
